Why e-mealz?

I signed up for an account at e-mealz about a year ago and was ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY, POSITIVELY satisfied with my 'purchase.' It's so affordable - only $1.25 per week for someone to plan your meals for the next week AND give you an organized shopping list! They have all sorts of different 'meal plans' depending on your needs - low-fat, vegetarian, low-carb, WeightWatchers - many of which can be catered to your specific grocery store (Wal-Mart, Publix, Aldi, etc). They even have a new Gluten-Free meal plan! :-) You sign up in 3-month intervals, so for $15, you get three month's worth of meal planning and grocery shopping lists. I was sold immediately!

I'm so smitten with my success on the e-meals plan that I've devoted this entire blog to sharing my successes (and failures - I'm sure there will be some!), and most of all, the fact that my kids actually EAT these meals!

Awesome Nachos

E-MEALZ EASY AND DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES

This is the second meal from the Low-Fat e-mealz Menu I'm using this week - another easy dish (as if they ALL aren't easy?) that was about 30 minutes from start to table. I am so loving these quick, healthy meals! Oh, and I must give the husband credit here... he was the chef this evening! :-)

Please excuse the cell phone photos - I have misplaced the battery charger for my camera, but hope to have real photos again soon!

Very much like a casserole - tortilla chips, turkey meat, refried beans, sour cream, olives, and cheese. We forgot one finishing touch - salsa. Maybe next time. :-)

The husband and I both had seconds.

The almost 5-year old had THIRDS, the 18-month old had seconds, but the 3-year old was being picky tonight, so she doesn't count. ;-)

Chicken Marsala

E-MEALZ EASY AND DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES

This is the second meal from the Low-Fat e-mealz Menu I'm using this week - there was almost no prep, aside from chopping the onions... this took about 30 minutes from start to table.

Please excuse the cell phone photos - I have misplaced the battery charger for my camera, but hope to have real photos again soon!

After I cooked the mushrooms and onions

In the process of cooking the chicken...

The finished product: Chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. (The mashed potatoes were instant and the brocolli was frozen - no wonder it only took 30 minutes!)

The 18-month old couldn't wait to dig in!

The almost 5-year old isn't too fond of mushrooms and broccoli, but asked for seconds on the chicken! The same was the case for the 3-year old.

Lasagna Pizza

E-MEALZ EASY AND DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES

This is one of the first meals I've actually photographed - cooked August 10, 2010. The idea for this blog did not hit me until today. The images are rather large at the moment, but I will make sure to fix that a bit later.

Homemade dough (from a Pillsbury box!) baking right up...

A little mozzarella and dinner's ready!

My husband loved this one, which is the case with many of these E-mealz recipes. The kids ate with no fights, so that's what I call a success!
